Three of my friends, Margaret and Steve Davies and their son William and I are setting out on three separate challenges in April and we thought we would use them as an opportunity to raise funds for Reaching the Unreached. I am running the London Marathon on the 26th April (this year RTU have a place). Margaret is doing the She-Ultra on the Llyn Peninsula on the North Wales Coast on the 11th April and Steve and William are trekking to Everest Basecamp - they leave the UK on the 16th April.
Reaching the Unreached is a far-reaching grassroots organisation that has already achieved an enormous amount in empowering the most marginalised and disadvantaged people in rural South India. Donations for our Get Together go to those most in need which is our reason for our long term support.

Gill was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In retirement, she devoted her time to helping others as a fair trade campaigner. It was through this work that she visited Reaching the Unreached in January 2012, with her husband John.
Last year I was lucky enough to go and visit Reaching the Unreached in the village of G Kallupatti, South India with all my family. I would love to be able to raise some money for the 850 orphaned and abandoned children in their care in the Children's Villages there.
Eileen brought enthusiasm care and love to everything she did and to those she knew. She wanted to do the same for the children and poorest people supported by RTU.
Mark spent his life trying to make a fairer world and helping the disadvantaged in that world. He always found ways to do this both professionally and charitably and this organisation is one he has supported for many years.
Some of you may know that last year I had the privilege of visiting Reaching the Unreached. I was truly inspired by the work of Brother James Kimpton and those who continue his work. Since 1974, RTU has built four children's villages, schools, provided clean water in rural areas, built over 9000 homes, provided health care, women's support groups and fed over 2000 vulnerable adults and children a day.
We, at Our Lady of Loreto and St Winefride in Kew, are helping RTU's work supporting the most vulnerable children and their families in poor rural villages in Tamil Nadu, South India. We hope to raise enough to drill a bore well to provide clean, safe water and also build two village houses for homeless families.
We have just been out to visit RTU and seen the fantastic work that they do. The work that is carried out is humbling and awe inspiring, so we, at St Joseph's Catholic and Anglican High School, want to build a house - please help us raise the money
Ray was a great supporter of Reaching the Unreached for many years and so we, his family, wish to raise funds for this fantastic charity in his memory.
