This Lent, we are asking for help to run our other schools, and provide the children with caring teachers, uniforms and books. Our schools not only provide a high-quality education so that the children do well academically, but they also provide many extra activities including music, sports, cultural events, day trips, and numerous celebrations for religious and national holidays.  The children attending our schools are those in our care in the Children’s Villages, who have suffered so much loss and trauma in their young lives, and also those from the most vulnerable local families. We have 78 teachers and teaching assistants in our four schools, who give extra special care to the children and give them a fun and welcoming learning environment.  

A strong education is vital to enable the children we support to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to fulfil their potential.  We boast a 100% pass rate in public exams and many of the children go on to further education with our support.  Without our schools, these children would be unable to escape the rural poverty into which they are born.
