Get involved Support a fundraiser Walking the Camino for the children Donate Last year I was lucky enough to go and visit the Reaching the Unreached in the village of G.Kallupatti, South India with all my family, and I would love to be able to try and raise some money for the more than 850 children in the RTU Children's Village. It's hard to express, but it was amazing to meet these children and see the fantastic work that is done in the RTU's Children's Villages, schools and medical clinic. It will stay in all of our memories forever! The children in the Children's Villages seemed so full of energy when I visited with my family and brimming with smiles despite the many hardships they had suffered. They prepared and performed their dances and shows, played cricket, football and all sorts of endless invented games. We visited the small houses that each house 6-8 children looked after by their house mothers, who are widowed or abandoned women. The houses were spotlessly clean and organised and, as we saw them sit quietly on the ground together to eat in the evenings, we could feel the simplicity and humbleness from every corner. On the 14th September I am going to walk 120 km as the last part of the Camino Pilgrim Walk in Spain from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, and I would like to try and raise some money for the Children's Villages at RTU.Thank you for your support, Maggie Stephen Gearey Manage Cookie Preferences
