Gill was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Through her calling as a teacher, as both a secondary and latterly a primary school teacher, through the Scout movement and at All Saints Church in Birmingham, her quiet commitment to education shone through.
In retirement, she devoted her time to helping others as a fair trade campaigner. It was through this work that she visited Reaching the Unreached in January 2012, with her husband John, as part of a Traidcraft Meet the People tour. Gill and John continued to support the work of RTU, through sponsoring a girl the same age as their beloved grandchildren, Megan and Isabelle. We give thanks for her love, care and compassion.
